Concrete sprinkler donuts sink, Sprinkler Buddy doesn’t. Sprinkler Buddy also custom fits like no other lawn sprinkler head donut.
These sprinkler donuts were installed around the same time in the same lawn. Roughly four months ago. Same maintenance given to all during their weekly mowing schedule. I sprayed around the heads with round-up so you could see those with the concrete sprinkler donuts installed on them. All the concrete donuts were placed over the sprinkler heads when installed, I didn’t bury them, they’ll sink even faster if you give them a head start. The Sprinkler Buddy is the only one that remained where I had initially installed it.
The difference is clear, the choice is clear.

Although you may be familiar with the standard rules for creating a beautiful gardening space and walk-through area for your patio, those typical design concepts may not be adequate for the unique territory that is your property’s landscape. You need to be ready to break with convention in order to produce the best visual effects for the garden you have. For example, sometimes the best natural looking elements of the garden is pre-existing foliage, whose look you don’t want to ruin by following artificial rules about where to break up an area to introduce a walkway. Water irrigation is an essential stage in maintaining your garden, as it gives the appearance of a healthier lawn and can provide the water needed to sustain the vegetation and to prevent the build-up of toxic salts. There are many different forms of irrigation, and each has their benefits, it’s down to assessing the needs and requirements of your garden.
Irrigating your garden manually through the use of watering cans and buckets can give you a great deal of control over how your garden is maintained, however, this isn’t an entirely cost effective or efficient method. Problems may occur when away from home for long periods of time, as you would be unable to tend to the plant’s needs. Read the rest of this entry »

Tips for Lawn Care and Maintenance As You Get Older
None of us likes to admit it, but as we get older, it takes more energy to do the things we used to do like heading out for a long run or maintaining the lawn. If you’re starting to feel worn down and sore after a day with your walk-behind lawn mower, it may be time to consider a riding mower so you can spend less time and energy mowing and more time on the things that matter. When you have teenagers at home, you may choose to pass off the responsibility of mowing the lawn to them (around age 16 is recommended to be safe). But by the time you’re an empty-nester and some gray hairs are starting to show, you should be thinking about how you’ll manage your lawn care in the future. Read the rest of this entry »

Rotor and spray head sprinklers are often referred to as pop up sprinklers. They both come in a variety of sizes from many different manufactures. Some manufactures even make commercial grades which are often installed by an irrigation professional, usually when a new lawn sprinkler system is being first installed.

As residential fence builder, I can’t tell you how nice it is working time and time again in someone’s beautifully-manicured yard. Although some are prettier than others, I treat every yard as if it were my own when building.
One thing that’s always plagued me when I go in to build a fence, is that most of the time I see some of the flowers of plants have been mistreated. This usually has nothing to do with the homeowner themselves, but to do with outside elements effecting their flowerbeds and landscaping. Read the rest of this entry »
